  • Tim Phillips has extensive experience in challenging inkjet integration projects, spending eight years working at Xennia Technology Ltd, the leading inkjet solutions company that was acquired by Sensient in 2015. This involved working with a wide range of companies developing technology for new applications including textiles, ceramics, packaging, décor and functional material deposition for printed electronics and biomedical uses. Tim founded Catenary Solutions in 2015 to bring this knowledge of digital solution development and marketing to a wider audience. Tim is Managing Director of IMI Europe and has presented courses in the past including the Inkjet Academy, Inkjet Ink Manufacturing & Digital Textile Printing courses.
    Tim graduated from the University of Cambridge with an MA Honours degree in Natural Sciences, and completed his PhD in liquid crystal physics and chemistry at the University of Bristol. More recently he studied for an Executive MBA at the University of Warwick.

    The talk will review the latest advances in inkjet technology from around the world which are being applied to digital textile printing. These include the new generation of advanced thin film print heads, single pass high speed printing systems, and pigmented inks.   • This year marks 10 years at Fujifilm Dimatix Inc for Charles, where he resides as sales director for Greater China. Having graduated from Beijing Institute of Printing in July 1994, his first role in the industry was in the same year, in colour management at Beijing Pioneer Electronic Color Separation. Charles later moved into sales in 1999, when he joined ScitexVision as an application engineer, before moving on to Scitex Vision, which was purchased by HP, as HP sales manager of wide format printers.
